Legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed when he made the decision to stop drinking alcohol and the moment he decided to go back to drinking after a while.
In a video, the Nollywood icon humorously shared the story behind his decision to quit drinking alcohol. According to Pete Edochie, he made a New Year resolution three years ago where he promised himself that he would not drink any alcohol again. His friends were very supportive and happy about his decision, and they congratulated him on the resolution.
However, things took a funny turn shortly after sharing his New Year resolution with them. His friends immediately suggested they go out and celebrate his commitment to abstaining from alcohol. This led to a quick change of plans as they all ended up drinking together to celebrate his own vow to quit drinking.
Pete Edochie, while recounting the experience, laughed and shared how quickly things turned around. He said, “About three years ago, I said in my New Year resolution that I was going to stop drinking. So my friends came, and I told them I had now resolved to stop drinking. They said that was good. Let’s go and celebrate it. So we went back to drinking.”
