Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has broken her silence after YouTube unexpectedly took down her hit romantic movie, ‘Love in Every Word’, due to a copyright claim.
The movie, which quickly became a fan favorite and garnered over six million views within just three days of its release, was removed from the platform on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
According to reports, the copyright claim was filed by Chinonso Obiora, also known as Skyberry, a Canada-based network engineer and the owner of Skyberry Studios, an Abuja-based photography and videography company.
The sudden removal of the movie caused an uproar among fans, with many taking to social media to express their frustration and seek answers.
Reacting to the situation, Omoni Oboli took to her social media pages on Wednesday, March 12, to reassure her fans and followers that the issue had been resolved.
She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and concern from her fans, stating that the misunderstanding had been settled.
In her words:
“Hey besties, thank you for the love and concern. We deeply appreciate you all for your calls, messages, posts, tweets, and comments! I’m sorry I couldn’t respond at the time. There was a little misunderstanding with our movie ‘Love in Every Word’. It’s been sorted out now, and we are back stronger than ever!”
Her statement brought relief to many fans who had been eagerly awaiting updates on the status of the film.
As of now, ‘Love in Every Word’ is expected to be reinstated on YouTube soon, and viewers are hopeful for its return to the platform.
