Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, has reportedly been summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged breach concerning a payment of ₦23.5 million. This development comes after accusations regarding his non-fulfillment of an agreed performance at an empowerment program in Asaba, despite receiving part of the payment in advance.
According to investigative journalist Stella Dimokorkorus, Odumodublvck is scheduled to appear before the EFCC on April 15, 2025, in Benin City, Edo State, to address the allegations. The situation is reportedly linked to the rapper's failure to honor his commitment to perform at the scheduled event in Asaba after receiving 50% of the ₦47 million fee that was agreed upon. However, Odumodublvck performed at another event on the same day, which has raised suspicions about his intentions and the payment’s legitimacy.

The payment dispute centers around Odumodublvck’s request for ₦47 million to perform at the Asaba event, of which he received ₦23.5 million before the performance, only to cancel the event and perform elsewhere instead. This discrepancy in actions led to the formal complaint and EFCC’s involvement. According to Dimokorkorus’ report, Odumodublvck has expressed his intention to repay the amount in installments, although it is unclear whether this will satisfy the event organizer and the EFCC’s investigation into the matter. The event organizer is also expected to appear before the EFCC to further clarify the situation, and both parties will likely engage in discussions to resolve the issue.
This development has attracted widespread attention, as Odumodublvck has been a prominent figure in Nigeria’s music scene. The case continues to unfold, and more details are expected as the rapper faces questioning by the EFCC in April. The rapper’s legal team has not made any public statements about the case at this time, but fans and the public await further updates on the situation and its possible repercussions for his career.
