A viral exchange has erupted online between the German TikTok star, Noel Robinson, known for promoting Rema’s smash hit song ‘Calm Down‘, and the Nigerian entertainer Peller. This interaction has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms.
Both prominent figures engaged in a conversation highlighting Rema’s chart-topping track ‘Calm Down‘ and acknowledging Noel Robinson’s significant role in helping the song gain global recognition and viral popularity.

During their exchange, Peller brought up the question of whether Noel Robinson had received any payment from Rema, considering the massive impact Robinson’s promotion had on the song’s worldwide success.
Noel Robinson responded by revealing that despite his efforts and even sending a direct message to Rema, the Nigerian music star has yet to reply to him.
In his own words, Noel stated: “I was dancing to ‘Calm Down’, but Rema didn’t talk to me. He never did. I texted him, and he didn’t reply.”
In response, Peller attempted to reassure Noel Robinson by suggesting that Rema would eventually get back to him, encouraging patience and hope for future communication.
For context, Rema originally released “Calm Down” on February 11, 2022, as the second single off his debut studio album “Rave & Roses”. The song quickly became a global sensation, charting across multiple European countries and achieving the number one spot on the Belgian Ultratop 50, Dutch Top 40, and Dutch Single Top 100.
Further cementing its success, a remix featuring international superstar Selena Gomez was released on August 25, 2022. This version propelled the song to even greater heights, topping the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart as well as the Global Excl. US charts.
