Nollywood actress Nneoma Ukpabi has fired back at veteran colleague Rita Edochie after receiving heavy criticism over her revealing outfit at Ruby Ojiakor’s wedding.
Nneoma, who garnered widespread attention online for her bold choice of attire — a cleavage-baring dress — became a trending topic as social media users debated what is deemed appropriate for such an occasion.
Rita Edochie weighed in with a disapproving statement, denouncing what she described as a growing trend of indecent dressing in society. She noted that such fashion choices reflect a moral decline and a lack of respect for cultural and personal values.
“This disturbing trend has reached alarming proportions, with many individuals embracing indecent dressing 👗 as a norm. The consequences of this behaviour are far-reaching, contributing to a decline in moral values and respect for oneself and others,” Rita said.
Unwilling to let the remarks slide, Nneoma Ukpabi issued a scathing response via social media, warning Rita to stop mentioning her name in public discussions. She also threatened to reveal alleged secrets about the veteran actress if the criticisms continued.
“Remove my name from your mouth or I will open your file. Nobody has a monopoly on words. If you don’t respect yourself, I’ll show you that I’m not the one to mess with,” Nneoma responded in a fiery post.
