Nollywood actress, May Edochie, has taken to social media to commemorate the one-year remembrance of late actor Junior Pope with an emotional and heartfelt tribute that resonated with many fans and colleagues in the industry.
Gistreel recalls that Junior Pope, a beloved figure in Nollywood, tragically passed away along with several crew members in a devastating boat accident that shook the entertainment world and left a deep void in the hearts of many.
In a moving Instagram post, May Edochie reflected on a cherished memory involving Junior Pope, quoting one of his favorite remarks that showcased his vibrant personality and loving nature. She noted how much she missed hearing his popular phrase, “Swag nation…Who does that? The envy of all women. God is the greatest,” words that now echo with deep sentimental value.
She went on to offer prayers for the family he left behind, expressing her heartfelt wish that God continues to watch over them. She acknowledged the challenges that come with single parenting, especially after the loss of a spouse, and directed kind and encouraging words to Junior Pope’s widow, urging her to remain strong and resilient.
“As you continue to rest in peace, may the good Lord continue to protect this beautiful family that you left behind. Amen. I know how tough it is for a husband and a wife to jointly raise a family let alone a single parent.
