Controversial businesswoman Mary Gold has publicly apologized to the embattled content creator Ijoba Lande following the collapse of his marriage with his wife, Dara.
This comes after a viral video surfaced online, in which Mary Gold admitted to taking Dara to the house of a senior actor’s wife, Baba Tee, where she allegedly had an affair. The businesswoman further disclosed that she allowed Dara and her boyfriend to receive medical treatment for an infection at her residence.
In a video posted on her social media pages, Mary Gold, who also serves as Lande’s manager, tearfully expressed regret over her involvement in the unfortunate events that led to the breakdown of his marriage.
“I deeply regret my actions, and I am sincerely pleading with Lande to forgive me for taking his wife to Baba Tee’s house. I also acknowledge my mistake in allowing her and her boyfriend to receive treatment for their infection in my home. Nigerians, please, I beg you all to help me ask for his forgiveness,” she said in the video.
Mary Gold further extended an apology to Baba Tee, acknowledging that she should have informed him before bringing Dara to his home. However, she also accused the actor of dishonesty in his response to the controversy.
“I also want to apologize to Baba Tee for taking Lande’s wife to his house without informing him. However, I must say that I feel disappointed because he lied against me. I understand he may have done it to protect himself, but my spirit is not at peace with him,” she added.
