Man closes GTbank account to protest VeryDarkMan’s arrest.

VeryDarkMan was reportedly arrested at a GTBank branch in Abuja after visiting with his mother to protest illegal debits from her account, despite having no outstanding loans. The arrest reportedly took place in front of his mother, leaving her in distress as she witnessed the event unfold.

As of the time of filing this report, neither GTBank nor the Nigeria Police Force has issued an official statement on the incident. The lack of a formal response from the involved parties has raised further public interest in the matter.

However, in a video shared online, VeryDarkMan’s brother claimed the police picked him up inside the bank, leaving their mother in tears. The emotional impact of the incident was evident, as his brother described the arrest as both sudden and harsh, particularly with the added distress it caused their mother.

Reacting to the arrest, the protesting customer wrote:

“Just moved all my money out of GTBank. Arresting VDM was one of their greatest mistakes. #FreeVDM or get out of Nigeria.”

The post has since gone viral, attracting reactions from many Nigerians online. People have been sharing their thoughts on the situation, some expressing support for the protest and others commenting on the practicality of the move.
