A Nigerian man has taken to social media to protest the arrest of popular influencer VeryDarkMan by moving all his money out of GTBank, describing the bank’s action as a major mistake.
In a post shared via X (formerly Twitter), the man demanded the immediate release of VeryDarkMan and called on GTBank to leave Nigeria if the influencer is not freed. He emphasized his stance on the matter by making a strong statement regarding the situation and his protest.
VeryDarkMan was reportedly arrested at a GTBank branch in Abuja after visiting with his mother to protest illegal debits from her account, despite having no outstanding loans. The arrest reportedly took place in front of his mother, leaving her in distress as she witnessed the event unfold.
As of the time of filing this report, neither GTBank nor the Nigeria Police Force has issued an official statement on the incident. The lack of a formal response from the involved parties has raised further public interest in the matter.
However, in a video shared online, VeryDarkMan’s brother claimed the police picked him up inside the bank, leaving their mother in tears. The emotional impact of the incident was evident, as his brother described the arrest as both sudden and harsh, particularly with the added distress it caused their mother.
