Embattled Nollywood actor, Ijoba Lande, has publicly criticized controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, for making a song out of his marital struggles.
It would be recalled that Lande recently made headlines after accusing his wife of infidelity, claiming she had been involved in affairs with over 21 different Nollywood actors.
The shocking revelation sparked widespread reactions on social media. Amid the controversy, his wife admitted to her extramarital affairs and publicly pleaded for forgiveness.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, Portable, known for his spontaneous musical expressions, seized the opportunity to turn Lande’s troubled marriage into the subject of a song. The song was reportedly intended to be didactic, drawing lessons from the actor’s predicament.
Lande did not take this lightly and lashed out at Portable in a strongly worded response. Expressing his displeasure, he called out the singer for exploiting his misfortune for entertainment purposes.
In an emotional video shared online, Lande reminded Portable of his own past struggles, particularly when he was publicly distraught over his own wife’s alleged infidelity.
Speaking in Yoruba, Lande said:
“Portable, I see all the nonsense you are doing. You are using my life story to sing. You will pay for it. When they slept with one of your wives the other time, you were crying all over the internet.”
