Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude, has opened up about his deep feelings of disappointment and betrayal by the All Progressives Congress (APC) after what he described as a dedicated and sacrificial campaign effort for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the last general elections.
In a candid and emotional interview that has since gone viral across various social media platforms, Lalude revealed that he and several other entertainers devoted close to two months of their time and energy to support and campaign vigorously for the APC, believing in the promises made to them and expecting to be appreciated after the elections were over.

However, despite their relentless efforts, Lalude lamented that all assurances of compensation or acknowledgment were ultimately ignored. He expressed his heartbreak over how he and his colleagues, who worked “with sweat” and dedication, were abandoned once the party had secured power.
“After we campaigned for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, we were not given a dime. If I should place a curse on them, it will follow them throughout life,” Lalude said, emphasizing the depth of his disappointment and anger toward the APC and certain individuals within the party.
He went on to specifically mention Lagos State Parks Management Committee Chairman, MC Oluomo, whom he accused of rallying actors and entertainers together to support the APC’s campaign. Lalude disclosed that MC Oluomo personally promised him and his colleague, Alapini, that they would be rewarded and should feel free to ask for whatever they wanted once the election was over. According to Lalude, despite making their requests known, MC Oluomo failed to keep his promises, leaving them feeling used and disrespected.
“It was MC Oluomo that gathered us together to campaign. In fact, he personally promised Alapini and I that we should ask him for anything we wanted. We told him what we wanted but he didn’t fulfil his promise,” he recounted bitterly.
The veteran actor, known for his powerful roles in Yoruba movies, expressed how deeply hurt he felt by the betrayal and accused certain people of deliberately blocking the benefits that were meant to reach him and his colleagues. He did not hold back his emotions, even going as far as to pronounce curses on those who, according to him, prevented them from receiving any form of appreciation or compensation.
“Those that prevented us from receiving money shall be cursed for life,” he declared, showing just how far his disappointment had pushed him emotionally.

”We spent a month and 3 weeks campaigning for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu. They were giving us 10k daily at the beginning, but later, they stopped. MC Oluomo even promised Alapini and I things but voice mail. Incantation and curse to the people they campaigned for.” – LALUDE pic.twitter.com/Ojc6duakdB
