The Lagos state government has taken decisive action by sealing a church following multiple complaints from residents regarding excessive noise pollution.
This development was made public by Tunde Ajayi, the General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).

A concerned social media user identified as @SoftLifeAlhaja had previously raised an alarm about the church’s continuous noise disturbances, particularly during the nighttime, making it extremely difficult for residents to get adequate rest.
According to the complainant, several attempts were made to engage with the church authorities regarding the noise levels. However, instead of reducing the volume, the church reportedly increased its sound output, leading to heightened frustrations among those affected.
In response to the situation, LASEPA's General Manager, Tunde Ajayi, shared images of the church, confirming that it had been officially sealed by the authorities.
In a brief yet firm caption accompanying the photos, Ajayi simply wrote: “Sealed.”
