Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has responded strongly to a troll who resurfaced her past relationship with the late gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, reminding her of the physical abuse she allegedly endured during their time together.
The troll shared an old publication on Twitter, highlighting Henshaw’s previous revelations about being beaten by the singer when they were romantically involved.
The actress and the late Sammie Okposo reportedly dated for about three to four years in the early 2000s before going their separate ways. The resurfaced post sparked renewed public attention on their past relationship.

In addition to recalling the abuse, the troll went further to insult Kate Henshaw, mocking her marital status and accusing her of being bitter and without a husband.
The post read, “Aunty Kate, I heard someone say that you’re just a bitter old ‘agbaya’ woman because you’ve been let down by men too many times and ended up ‘husbandless’. Is that true?”
Reacting to the insult, Kate Henshaw responded with grace and defiance. She acknowledged that although the past events did happen, they made her stronger and not bitter, as claimed by the troll.
She clapped back with a pointed comment, writing, “Awwww, I am still here, though. These things happen, and I am better not bitter. Can’t say the same for the females in your family. I saw one at Farmcity the other night. I hope the pay she brought home fed the family for the night, though. I am good, to be honest. Next…..”

Her response has since gone viral, with many social media users commending her for defending herself and turning a painful past into a source of strength rather than shame.
