According to the official statement, candidates who wish to check their performance are advised to send ‘UTMERESULT’ in capital letters via SMS to either 55019 or 66019. The number to use must be the one linked to the candidate’s profile code at the time of UTME registration. This method ensures a secure and direct way to retrieve the 2025 UTME resit results.

The update came alongside an attached document titled “Release of the Result of the 2025 UTME Resit Examination and Other Related Matters,” which provided further insights into the circumstances surrounding the rescheduled exams. The document clarified that the affected candidates had written their exams in centres that experienced disruptions during the main UTME schedule, necessitating a resit.

More importantly, the document revealed that the resit process unearthed several troubling practices involving some students, school proprietors, and CBT centre operators. These unethical behaviors contributed to examination malpractice cases that JAMB is now working to address thoroughly.

Following this official release, numerous candidates have confirmed that they have successfully checked and received their updated scores. Many of them took to social media to share their experiences and the significant improvements in their scores, particularly among those who were previously affected by errors in the grading process.

One notable testimony came from a candidate who shared a screenshot of their result with the caption: “This is the first JAMB resit result I woke up with. This youngster was wrongly graded 170 due to the error and now 301 in just 48 hours of preparation.”

In response to the news, many stakeholders and educators have expressed relief and gratitude, stating that the outcome vindicates the affected students and restores their hope in the integrity of the examination process.
