Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has proudly declared that her children are reaping the rewards of the good deeds she has done throughout her life.
In a recent interview with popular media personality Seun Oloketuyi, Iyabo Ojo took a moment to reflect on her journey, emphasizing that she firmly believes the blessings she and her children enjoy today are a direct result of her past acts of kindness, hard work, and positive contributions to the lives of others.
She highlighted the importance of self-reliance, stressing that in times of struggle, no one would be willing to sacrifice their own well-being for another person. According to her, life teaches people that ultimately, everyone is responsible for themselves, and it is important to put in the necessary efforts to secure a better future.
During the interview, Iyabo Ojo also discussed the benefits of having children at a young age, stating that it helps parents maintain a youthful outlook on life. She expressed joy over how her children, particularly her daughter Priscilla, have positively influenced her in many ways.
The actress specifically credited Priscilla for introducing her to TikTok, a social media platform that has significantly boosted her earnings. She admitted that without Priscilla’s encouragement, she might not have explored the platform, let alone made as much money from it as she has today.
Sharing her thoughts, she said:
“I strongly believe that the good things I have done in life are the reason my children and I are being blessed today. What I am enjoying now is the result of my hard work, kindness, and positive energy. When I die, no one is going to die with me. When I am hungry, no matter how much you love me, you won’t give me your womb or your intestines to quench my hunger. I have to take care of myself. Every man is on his own. That’s why I tell people to invest in themselves and work hard.”
She also talked about the impact of motherhood, saying: “When you have kids early, you don’t want to grow old because your children will always make you feel young. Priscilla convinced me to start using TikTok, and honestly, if I didn’t have her in my life, I would probably not have made so much money on TikTok.”
Speaking on other matters, Iyabo Ojo touched on the tragic passing of late singer Mohbad. She expressed some regret regarding her role in advocating for his body to be exhumed for further investigations. The actress hinted that she has had second thoughts about the entire situation, though she still believes in the pursuit of justice.
Meanwhile, the actress is currently gearing up for her daughter Priscilla’s highly anticipated wedding.
Iyabo Ojo had previously expressed her strong desire for Priscilla to marry early, and her wish came true when Priscilla tied the knot with her Tanzanian fiancé in August. The couple is now preparing for their grand white wedding, which is scheduled to take place in Nigeria this April.
According to Iyabo Ojo, the wedding will be a glamorous and extravagant celebration in Lagos, with high-profile guests expected to be in attendance.
