Nollywood actress, Iheme Nancy, has opened up about her perspective on relationships and why she turned down a marriage proposal from a 40-year-old man. Iheme Nancy emphasized the importance of financial stability, ambition, and personal growth in romantic relationships. She stated that despite the man’s age, he lacked the basic necessities she considers essential for a committed relationship, such as owning a car, having a house, or making meaningful investments.
According to Iheme Nancy, she could not accept a proposal from someone who had not attained a level of success or financial independence that matched or exceeded her own. She questioned the audacity of the man’s proposal, pointing out the stark contrast between their lifestyles and ambitions.
“Not a house, not even a car, no investment. You are looking for someone that is higher than you, are you not a criminal?”, she said during the interview, making her stance on the matter clear and unapologetic.
The actress also described her ideal partner as someone who surpasses her in all aspects—financially, emotionally, and in terms of life achievements. She believes that a relationship should involve continuous growth and support, and settling for less is not an option for her.
“You need to grow, you don’t need to go down. I’m looking for a man that is bigger than me in all ramifications because I can do somethings by myself”, she added, reinforcing her self-sufficiency and the high standards she holds when it comes to romantic commitments.
