Well known Yoruba actor, Ibrahim Olalekan Bello, popularly known as Omoba Sanjay, has shared a revealing story about a difficult decision he had to make regarding his career and a romantic relationship. During an interview with fellow actor Kunle Afod on YouTube, Ibrahim disclosed that he ended his relationship with his girlfriend because his boss had also shown interest in her. The actor explained that he felt compelled to prioritize his acting career over his personal life to avoid potential conflicts that could affect his professional future.
Ibrahim opened up about the incident, recounting a time when he was working on a movie set. On that particular day, a lady arrived on set with her friend and approached him, expressing interest in him. At the time, Ibrahim was not married, and he was open to the possibility of a relationship. However, unbeknownst to him, the producer he was working with on the same project was also interested in the same lady. The producer had been observing their interactions from a distance and assumed that they were already a couple, despite the fact that they had just met.
According to Ibrahim, the situation quickly escalated when the producer began giving the lady money for feeding throughout the five-day shoot, even though she had no involvement in the movie. Meanwhile, Ibrahim, who was working continuously during the shoot, was not given any feeding allowance. This subtle act was intended by the producer to provoke Ibrahim, hoping he would react angrily and give him a reason to use his words against him. However, Ibrahim chose to remain calm and did not react to the situation. Despite this, the lady continued to confide in him, revealing that the producer was giving her money every day while she remained on set, even though she was not part of the production.
Despite his frustrations with the situation, Ibrahim realized that maintaining the relationship with the lady could jeopardize his career. The producer was one of the top industry figures at the time, and Ibrahim feared that his actions could lead to a blacklist, with the producer potentially advising other producers not to hire him in the future. With this in mind, Ibrahim made the difficult choice to end the relationship with the lady, choosing to protect his career over his personal desires.
