Legendary actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has taken to his page to celebrate his daughter on her 25th birthday with a bold and motivational message. The veteran actor, who is known for his strong presence in the Nigerian entertainment industry, decided to mark this milestone by offering a word of advice to his daughter, alongside his well wishes.
Kanayo O. Kanayo, while expressing his joy on his daughter's special day, mentioned that by the time she turns 27, he expects her to either be married, completing her PhD, or living independently from him. He made it clear that he wants to see significant progress in her life before that age, outlining his expectations with seriousness but also with love.
The actor fondly reminisced about how his daughter, Uloaku, used to complain about him being away frequently due to his movie sets and acting commitments. Despite her concerns, Kanayo expressed his pride in remaining relevant in the entertainment industry, and he urged his daughter to understand that his travels were a part of his work as an actor, who is constantly in demand.
In a heartfelt message, he said, “My dear daughter, Uloaku (Bank/house of wealth), CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 25th birthday.” He continued by referring to his daughter’s growth, from the young Valerie to a prospective “Madam Uloaku.” He emphasized the importance of reflecting on her life’s journey and the steps she needs to take moving forward. He urged her to focus on what she should carry forward and what she should leave behind, acknowledging the challenges and realities that come with adulthood.
Kanayo also humorously shared, “Your issue with me has always been that I am always traveling, hardly at home. Uloaku, GOOD ACTORS travel, always on the move because they are always HIRED. Thank God I am still VERY ACTIVE and relevant. Try and tolerate me.”
In his concluding words, he emphasized the importance of independence and responsibility, saying, “In all these, please ensure that before 2027, you are either walking DOWN THE AISLE, GOING FOR YOUR PhD, or walking out of my house. Simpliciter. Ka Chukwu Okike Abiama gozierem Uloaku.” His message was a blend of love, tough love, and motivation to help his daughter grow into the woman he believes she is destined to be. The advice was not just a father’s wish for his daughter, but also a powerful reminder of the importance of taking charge of her future.
