Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, appears to have remained silent amidst fresh allegations made against her by comedian and actor Ijoba Lande, choosing instead to flood her social media page with nostalgic throwback photos of her younger self.
Earlier today, it was reported by Gistreel that Ijoba Lande had shared a viral audio where he opened up about a bitter working relationship with Funke Akindele, claiming she once paid him a sum of N90,000 for a project and gave him no further compensation.
In the viral voice note, Ijoba Lande went further to share advice for up-and-coming talents in the entertainment industry, urging them not to idolize producers or directors, regardless of their fame, as he narrated how disappointed he felt after working with Funke.
Despite the allegations generating considerable buzz online, Funke Akindele has not issued any public statement or response to Ijoba Lande’s claims. Instead, she posted a series of flashback photos on Instagram, showing herself as a child, which her fans interpreted as a subtle way of ignoring the controversy and focusing on positive memories.
This move by the actress, who is also a film producer and politician, suggests she is either unbothered by the claims or unwilling to fuel the online drama by engaging in a back-and-forth exchange.
