Veteran Nigerian musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has called on Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to deliver a message to his father regarding the harsh economic realities currently faced by Nigerians.
The outspoken artist made this appeal through the lyrics of his newly released song titled “Tell Your Papa”, where he criticized the current administration and highlighted the suffering of ordinary citizens across the country.

Eedris Abdulkareem’s song came in reaction to Seyi Tinubu’s recent statement, where he praised his father, President Bola Tinubu, as the “greatest president in Nigeria’s history”, during a youth engagement event in Adamawa State.
In his musical response, Eedris urged Seyi to speak candidly to his father about the reality on ground. He expressed the deep frustration felt by many Nigerians due to inflation, rising cost of living, insecurity, and unfulfilled government promises.
The lyrics include lines such as: “Seyi, tell your papa country hard. Tell your papa people dey die. Tell your papa this one don pass jagajaga,” which mirror the tone of his earlier protest anthem “Jaga Jaga.”
He further criticized the privileges enjoyed by political elites, stating: “Seyi, try travel by road without your security make you feel the pains of fellow Nigerians. You dey fly private jets, insecurity no be your problem.”
Eedris also pointed out the widespread insecurity, including kidnappings, and accused the government of making empty promises while ignoring the plight of ordinary citizens.
“Seyi, how far? I swear your papa no try. Too much empty promises. On behalf of Nigerians, take our message to him; kidnappers dey kill Nigerians,” he sang.
