Popular media personality Eric Gugua has stirred conversations online after advising men against marrying women who hold their pastors in higher regard than their partners.
In a message shared via his official Twitter page, Gugua voiced strong concerns over relationships where a woman prioritizes her pastor’s influence over that of her husband.
He stated that some women go as far as disregarding their husband’s opinions, choosing instead to follow the guidance of their pastors, even when it directly contradicts their partner’s perspectives.
Gugua expressed his opinion, saying:
“I really don’t think it’s a good idea to go ahead and marry someone who very clearly loves and adores her pastor or church leader more than she does you.
Tbh, I think it’s an incredibly unwise thing to do, especially when they have shown you (and in some cases even told the man point blank) that your views and opinions come second to that of this person.
It is not pride to leave this person. It’s just purpose preservation.”
