Notable singer, Davido, has joined the voices demanding the release of social media activist Verydarkman, who was recently arrested under controversial circumstances.
The activist was reportedly picked up by officials of the EFCC shortly after visiting a GTBank branch, with the specific reasons for his arrest still unknown at the time of this report.
The anti-graft agency has not released an official statement confirming his detention, which has fueled public concern and online agitation for his release.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, Davido expressed admiration for the overwhelming show of support towards Verydarkman from fans and well-wishers, stating that such solidarity is a motivation to continue championing causes that uplift the masses.
In his heartfelt post, Davido emphasized the importance of standing up for what is right and demanded the immediate release of his friend.
He wrote:
