Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido Adeleke, has boldly asserted his dominance in the Afrobeats genre, stating that no other artist can match his skill and authenticity in the style.
While giving credit to prominent American musicians like Gunna, Young Thug, and Chris Brown for their expertise in trap and R&B, Davido emphasized that Afrobeats is where he truly shines, and he remains unmatched in that space.

He stated: “One of the good things that American artists like about collaborating with me is that it’s either we meet in the middle or you just do it my way—Afrobeats. That’s how it is. Like I said, I can’t sing trap better than Gunna or Young Thug, or sing R&B better than Chris Brown, but nobody can sing Afrobeats like me.”
