Nigerian influencer, media personality, and content creator Enioluwa has found himself at the center of online controversy after a social media user identified as Kosi Ugo publicly called him out, accusing him of being an opportunist who allegedly builds relationships only with popular women for personal clout and social leverage.
Kosi Ugo made this known in a lengthy Facebook post that quickly gained traction, going viral across several social media platforms including X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram. The post, which attracted thousands of reactions, comments, and shares, has since sparked heated debates among internet users about the authenticity of friendships in the influencer space and whether or not follower count should dictate relationships.

In his post, Kosi alleged that Enioluwa only associates with or promotes women who have amassed over 100,000 followers on social media. He claimed the influencer carefully selects rising female stars, choosing to engage and build connections with them only after they achieve notable online fame and recognition.
“Enioluwa will never post you on his timeline unless you have 100k followers and above. I started noticing this pattern from the time of Hilda Bassey. Before her Guinness World Record cookathon attempt, Enioluwa never posted about her or gave her any attention. Then boom—she’s all over the media and suddenly he becomes her best friend overnight,” Kosi wrote in the post.
Kosi went further to claim that Enioluwa deliberately avoids close friendships with male influencers or personalities because “they will easily see through his intentions.” He insinuated that the influencer prefers associating with influential and successful women who can offer him privileges and benefits, what he described as “baby girl treatment” at other people’s expense.
“He’s just patiently waiting for the next girl that will blow up so he can slide in and work his girl-boy, cunny-cunny tactics into her life,” Kosi alleged in the now-viral post.
Reactions trailing critic’s claim about Enioluwa
As expected, the post has attracted mixed reactions from netizens, with some agreeing with Kosi’s observations while others accused him of jealousy and attempting to pull Enioluwa down. The discussion has sparked debates about the influencer culture in Nigeria and the role social media popularity plays in personal and professional relationships.
One Facebook user, Uduak Melody Etim Bassey, weighed in on the issue saying: “A lot of persons are guilty of this. They rate you based on your followers and not your personality or value. It’s the sad reality of the influencer world we live in.”
Victor Ree also added his perspective: “Logical view. Nothing said here is incorrect. Being an opportunist can also mean being ‘sharp’ on the streets, making strategic moves to stay relevant. It’s the game.”
Obiora Miriam, however, offered a different angle to the situation, writing: “People need to understand how brand partnerships work. Hilda contracted Enioluwa to be her brand ambassador during the cookathon event — that’s why their friendship started. Eni delivered on his part by helping Hilda gain more publicity and support.”
Another commenter, Anita Perry Happyfoot, criticized Kosi for his outburst, saying: “Shut up and set your own standards. Stop ranting like a woman in labor over someone else’s circle. Focus on your growth.”
Despite the swirling online debate, neither Enioluwa nor any of his close associates, including famous personalities like Priscilla Ojo and Hilda Baci, have publicly responded or addressed the claims as of the time of this report.
The situation continues to trend across social platforms as fans and critics alike share their opinions, dissecting the influencer’s past actions, his circle of friends, and the ever-complicated politics of online influence in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
