It will be recalled that the respected cleric was recently in the news after a video surfaced online showing him inside his Range Rover, with many social media users alleging that he was holding a gun while driving.

  Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

During a recent Sunday service, Pastor Adefarasin addressed the allegations and made it clear that he does not own or possess a gun, and that he was not wielding one in the video.

Following the widespread circulation of the footage, the young content creator behind the clip was interviewed by media personality Daddy Freeze. In the interview, he recounted the events that led up to the controversial recording and insisted that his intention was not to stir controversy.

According to the creator, he had gone to the Ikoyi roundabout with the goal of capturing videos of 10 Range Rovers as part of his content project. It just happened that Pastor Adefarasin’s car was the first Range Rover he came across.

He narrated that as the car approached, he hailed it casually by saying “Boss, Boss.” To his surprise, the car pulled over, and the glass was rolled down. The man in the car, whom he later realized was Pastor Adefarasin, politely told him not to record.

Despite not recognizing the pastor at the time, the content creator respected the request and responded with, “Sorry, Boss.” He emphasized that he didn’t go close to the car and that his focus remained on his phone screen as he attempted to get a perfect shot for his content.

He stated, “I didn’t move close to the car, I even moved back sef. So as I start the video, I was just saying ‘Boss, Boss’. As he now parked, I was so happy, Me I even thought he just want to acknowledge me. As he wound down he said ‘Don’t do that,’ and I was like ‘Sorry Boss.’ I didn’t really focus on him, I was just focused on my own screen to get the video perfect. As he left, I didn’t know what was in his hand. I sha see one stuff in his hand, but I didn’t not know….”

The clip quickly went viral, sparking debates and leading to online speculations. However, both parties have now provided their sides of the story to set the record straight.
