Nigerian social media sensation, Carter Efe, has fired back at activist VDM and other online critics who labeled his video with his daughter as ‘inappropriate.’
The controversy began when Carter Efe shared a video on his social media page, showing himself playing with his daughter. In the video, his daughter was seen touching his chest and nipple while he made playful sounds. While many saw the lighthearted moment as harmless fun, it was met with harsh criticism, particularly from VDM, who found the content disturbing and inappropriate.
VDM also criticized Carter Efe’s parenting, suggesting that his behavior raised concerns about his mental and emotional capacity to care for his child.
Reacting to the online critics including the comment of VDM, Carter Efe state that the video was a fun one which was misconstrued on Instagram.
Carter Efe then apologized, adding that he won’t post such ever again. He wrote in part:
“They said I’m molesting my own child. Coming from people that do worst behind closed doors!!!
Born pikin make you see how foolish you go dey just to make them happy!
I’m not suprised at all because I’m in a country where 99% watch porn on a daily basis and it’s stuck in their head and they still pretend to saint!
Make una nor vex e nor go happen again
Dont forget I wrote all this because of my daughter Charis.”
