In a now-viral post circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Adijat revealed that she had been a pillar of support for Asake while he was still in school. She claimed that even with her limited resources, she constantly sent him money, covered some of his expenses, and stood by him through difficult times.

However, Adijat alleged that after Asake completed his education at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and relocated to Lekki, he became distant and unresponsive. She expressed her frustration over his actions, stating that she felt abandoned despite their past together.

Recalling their deteriorating relationship, she said:

“When he was still in school, the little I had, I gave to him. Even from my small contributions, I would withdraw money and send it to him. But after he finished from OAU and moved to Lekki, everything changed. He became unreachable, and seeing him became almost impossible.”

She further detailed how her attempts to reconnect with him were met with cold responses. According to her, when she expressed her concerns about their lack of communication, Asake dismissed her feelings, making her feel insignificant.

“I told him that it had been a long time since we last saw each other, but instead of showing concern, he asked me if that was supposed to be a big deal. He started acting differently, giving me an attitude,” she added.

Adijat also claimed that when their child was approaching his fifth birthday, her mother reached out to Asake to inform him that his father was pressuring her regarding the child’s well-being. However, his response was disappointing.

“He told me I was forcing myself on him and that my problems were too much for him to handle. Later, he sent me messages warning me that he would block me. He even told me that I was free to move on and marry someone else because he had no time for a relationship,” she recounted.

According to Adijat, their child turned six and seven with little to no support from Asake. She tearfully expressed how she had to navigate the difficult journey of raising the child without the singer’s involvement.

As the video of her revelation spread across social media, netizens took to the comment section to share their thoughts. While some sympathized with her situation, others defended Asake, arguing that there might be more to the story.
