Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has sparked a massive outcry following a disturbing statement he made, boasting about the potential for violence against anyone who dares to criticize him. The controversial remark was made during a recent church gathering, as seen in a viral video that quickly spread across social media on Friday, April 4, 2025.
In the video, the renowned cleric made a chilling and boastful declaration, suggesting that anyone who criticizes him near the premises of his church in Auchi, Edo State, might face fatal consequences. He shockingly stated, “If you want to die and you’ve been praying for death, but it hasn’t come, there’s a way to make it happen.”
Suleman went on to say, “Come to Auchi, stand by the front gate of our church, and say something against me. Somebody will kill you, another will bury you, and the third will be doing praise and worship on your dead body.”
His comments have raised eyebrows and sparked significant backlash online, with many questioning the appropriateness of such violent statements coming from a religious leader. Critics have expressed concern about the message this sends to his followers, as well as the potential danger this rhetoric might incite.
In the video, Suleman also recounted a disturbing past incident involving alleged cultists who had confronted an individual for insulting him. The preacher claimed that these alleged cult members had beaten the person up before bringing them to him to apologize. Suleman shared the exchange, saying, “I’ve had cult boys bring people to me and say, ‘This boy was insulting you, we beat him and told him to apologize.’ I asked them, ‘Who are you?’ They said, ‘You no go like who we be, but you don help us.’ Kindness,” referring to the incident with a chilling sense of approval.
This incident and Suleman’s latest comments have reignited debates about his leadership style and the behavior of some of his followers. The public’s reactions to this video have been overwhelmingly negative, with many condemning the cleric’s words as inappropriate and dangerous.
