Popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly opened up about the emotional turmoil she endured during her recent failed relationship, expressing her disappointment and frustration in a series of rants on her official social media page. The outspoken actress didn’t mince words as she dragged her ex-lover, labeling him an efulefu—a derogatory term for a worthless or good-for-nothing person—and describing him as extremely gullible and easily manipulated.
Angela Okorie took to her Instagram page to vent about how the relationship, which initially seemed promising, turned toxic as she discovered her ex-boyfriend’s alleged infidelity with multiple women, including several personalities within the Nollywood industry.
In her lengthy post, Angela made it clear that she has no interest in ever being with a man who is easily accessible to other women. She reaffirmed her intention to find a partner who is faithful, respectable, and mentally strong. According to Angela, her ex-lover not only cheated on her but shamelessly bragged about his intentions to sleep with as many wealthy women as possible in Lagos and within the Nollywood scene.
She wrote: “Make una warn that mad man, make he no dey post my picture na. I blocked Casanova for a long time. I don leave am for Nollywood girls and others. Until I marry, y’all will never see my man or even know what he looks like again. Make una carry am, e fit una, not Legit Queen like me. I will marry right in Jesus’ name. I will not marry a man who has eyes for other women. I will marry a real king who knows his left from his right, not an efulefu—very gullible and easily accessible.”
Angela further disclosed that the man was using her fame and influence to boost his own popularity and attract women. She recounted catching him exchanging flirtatious messages with a Nollywood actress and how he admitted to having an agenda of sleeping with influential women to climb the social ladder.
“If you write am now, he go just reply sharp sharp. He saw real fame and started jumping up and down. I blocked him and removed his pictures from my page the moment I discovered he was using me to gain relevance and pull women. He even told me one day that he planned to sleep with all the rich women in Lagos and Nollywood. I was like, who thinks like this?” she added.
Angela concluded by saying she was grateful she uncovered the truth early enough to walk away from what she described as a toxic, deceitful relationship. She emphasized that it felt as though she had been dating her own enemy, given how much betrayal she uncovered. She also mocked him for living a fake lifestyle, flaunting empty designer bags and eating cheap meals in restaurants while pretending to live lavishly.
“The thing is, I found out on time about him and deleted everything that looked like him from my life. At some point, I even felt like I was dating my enemy because he’s not who he claimed to be. Noise of empty selfridges bags and cheap food in restaurants, a damaged man,” Angela concluded.
