Popular Big Brother Naija star, Uriel Oputa, has broken her silence after missing out on the Best Dressed Female award at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The prestigious AMVCA 2025 ceremony, held last night, was a dazzling affair filled with glamour and elegance as top stars from the Nigerian entertainment industry graced the red carpet. The star-studded event featured an array of Big Brother Naija alumni, top celebrities, and other notable figures from across the country.
Among the highlights of the night were the fashion accolades, where BBNaija’s Liquorose Afije bagged the award for Best Dressed Female, while Prince Nelson was crowned Best Dressed Male. Both winners walked away with a ₦1 million cash prize each.
Reacting to the outcome, Uriel Oputa took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts, expressing confidence in her outfit and attributing her loss solely to her late arrival at the event.
In her words, she emphasized that her dress stood out and was deserving of the award, but her timing cost her the opportunity.
Her post reads, “This is not to knock anyone’s design. Everyone looked stunning. But let’s be honest, the only reason I didn’t win best dressed is because I wasn’t there on time. Nobody can tell me my dress didn’t eat.”
She accompanied her post with striking photos of her outfit, which garnered praise from fans and fashion lovers alike.
