A recent report has surfaced, stating that Shimite Bello, the Special Adviser on Trade and Export to the Delta State Governor, tragically passed away due to hypertension.
After Shimite Bello’s sudden passing. Speculation quickly followed, with some suggesting potential involvement of her husband in the unfortunate event.

In response to the mounting suspicions, the Delta State Police Command launched an investigation, remanding her husband in detention, especially after receiving threats from his in-laws. The situation stirred much tension within the community and among those close to the family.
However, a close associate of the deceased’s husband, Olatunde Adekunle Babalola,, took to social media to publicly deny the rumors circulating about his alleged involvement in her death. In his statement, Babalola, identified on Facebook, explained that Shimite Bello had been a political figure who was in preparation to be made a local government chairman in the 2027 general elections.
Babalola further revealed that the autopsy conducted on Shimite Bello was sponsored by a senator. The autopsy report concluded that her death was caused by unmanaged hypertension, which led to underlying complications, including enlarged organs. He stated that these health issues were not properly managed, which contributed to the tragic outcome.
He went on to claim that Shimite Bello’s family had taken her body to an undisclosed location, which prompted further intervention from the police. The post shared by Babalola read: “Autopsy has been conducted and I got a supervising Pathologist and am vindicated. My wife had a very serious case of Hypertension which wasn’t managed. Most of her organs as well were seriously [damaged].”
