Gospel singer Agnes Iroh has publicly accused Nigerian rapper Olamide of using her song “Follow the Ladder” without proper authorization in one of his musical projects.
Agnes Iroh alleged that Olamide sampled her hit gospel song in his 2014 track “Our Lord Jesus,” which was released as part of his early gospel-influenced works.
The singer, who has been battling health issues, revealed that she had initially been unable to address the matter due to her condition. However, she has now come forward to demand recognition and compensation for the use of her work.
Agnes Iroh insisted that Olamide must meet with her in person to discuss the issue and make amends, emphasizing that he gained substantial recognition and financial benefits from the song.
She further noted that Olamide’s use of her song without proper credit was unacceptable, stating that it contributed to his success while leaving her without due acknowledgment.
